Lyttos Crete I, Icardo-Casanova and Escacena-Garcia win in Greece

Sergio Icardo and Jordi Casanova in the men’s tournament, Claudia Escacena and Aitana Garcia in the women’s: these are the winners of the FIP Bronze Lyttos Crete I in Heraklion, Greece. The men’s pair won the final 6-4 6-2 against Gustavo Nunes and Raul Marcos. It is their first international title in 2025 after reaching the semifinals at the FIP Silver in Manila in May.
“Winning this tournament is a beautiful goal. We had a great weekend, thank you all for the support. I am sure we will see each other again next year,” said Sergio Icardo after the prize ceremony.
In the women’s tournament, Claudia Escacena (who also won the FIP Bronze in Qatar last January) and Aitana Garcia (who won the FIP Bronze in Abu Dhabi in May) won the final 6-0 6-2 against the number one seeds Patri Ribeiro and Catarina Santos.
